Deadly batch of heroin may be linked to three deaths in Westchester

A deadly batch of heroin may have claimed the lives of three Westchester men. Nicholas Piccolo and Matthew Andresen, both 25 and from Mount Pleasant, died in their sleep three days a part. The deaths come after more than a dozen people were killed by a batch of bad heroin in Rockland County, New York City and northern New Jersey this summer. Police are also trying to determine if the death of 25-year-old Louis Mosca, of Armonk, who was found last week in a New Rochelle hotel, is connected to the other deaths. Detectives are awaiting toxicology tests to determine if drugs or alcohol played a role.
