Man struck and killed by Metro-North train in Port Chester

(08/24/05) PORT CHESTER ? MTA officials say a man was struck and killed by a Metro-North train Tuesday night in Port Chester.

MTA representatives say the man was killed on impact shortly after 9 p.m. Officials say it doesn't appear to be a suicide or that foul play was involved. The train, which was carrying only crew members, was traveling from Stamford, Connecticut to Grand Central Station.

The victim's name has not been released.
