Woman accused of scamming elderly White Plains residents out of thousands

White Plains police say a tip led them to a woman they say scammed elderly residents out of thousands of dollars.

Police say 54-year-old Brenda Ford was posing as a nurse in order to get into residents? home and rob them. After News12 Westchester profiled the case and showed a picture of Ford, a viewer alerted police and Ford was arrested.

Police charged Ford with grand larceny and burglary. They are asking anyone who may have been a victim to contact the White Plains Police Department at 914-422-6006.
