Westchester residents offer housing to Katrina victims
People from all over the Westchester area are coming together to do their part and offer much needed housing placement to the victims of Hurricane Katrina. A Yonkers man read about the need for housing on the Internet, and then offered a bedroom in his home rent-free for three months. And another man from Bronxville is willing to share his one-bedroom co-op with someone. By opening the doors to their own homes, area residents say they are feeling good about becoming a part of the relief effort.
