Residents in Westchester and Hudson Valley have heard about homeland security, color-coded threats and surveillance cameras aimed at keeping people safe. News 12 takes a look at forces that could be promoting terrorism right here.

The county?s public safety commissioner says people should not live in fear, however, they should be aware of what goes on around them.

As the war in Iraq rages on, many people?s perception of Arabs and Muslims has worsened. A local Arab leader says he doesn't see the racial targeting of Arabs now but that wasn't the case the days following the attacks on the World Trade Center.
