Ossining man kills himself after apparent rampage

An Ossining man apparently went on a rampage Thursday night, viciously attacking three women and then killing himself.

According to police, the 42-year-old Jonathan McRae, of Peekskill, assaulted three woman in an apartment on Snowden Avenue after an argument. He then ran outside with a kitchen knife. When police arrived, they ordered him to drop his weapon but he instead stabbed himself repeatedly in the stomach. The suspect died of his injuries a few hours later.

Police say McRae was friends with one of the women. Two of the victims are in the hospital with head and neck injuries.
