Police believe Yonkers shooting may be a case of retaliation

Yonkers police believe the latest shooting that wounded three teenagers Tuesday may be a case of retaliation.

Police say 19-year-old Anthony Northover, of Yonkers, turned himself in to authorities Thursday after they say he fired a gun into a crowd of people near Getty Square. Three teenagers were grazed by the gunfire. Police say Northover is apparently a good friend of a 16-year-old that was fatally shot last week.

Police still have not determined why Northover fired his weapon and the investigation is ongoing. Northover was charged with criminal possession of a weapon and two counts of reckless endangerment.
