Recount underway in Greenburgh supervisor?s race

A recount is underway in the Greenburgh supervisor?s race.

After the primary elections last Tuesday, longtime supervisor Paul Feiner had a slim 173-vote lead over challenger Bill Greenawalt in the Democratic primary. Greenawalt asked for a recount, so the voting machines were impounded and officials are now re-canvassing those votes. Officials are now waiting for 127 absentee ballots and 80 affidavit ballots to be counted on Wednesday.

Since there is no Republican candidate to run against on November 8, the primary winner will be the Greenburgh Town Supervisor.
