Two high school students hit by out-of-control car in White Plains

Police say two teens trying to cross a street in White Plains were struck by an out-of-control car Monday.

Authorities say the two friends from a local BOCES program were hit around 1:15 p.m. by a female driver from Ossining. Investigators say it's still too early to tell how the accident happened, but say it could have been a lot worse with so many people out on their lunch breaks.

Police are not releasing the names of the two teens hurt in the accident or their conditions. So far no charges have been filed against the driver.
