A 6-year-old Somers boy lost his battle with a brain tumor.

For two years, Jimmy Arena struggled with a brain tumor. Throughout his illness he inspired many in Westchester with his smile and his spirit. Numerous blood drives for Jimmy were organized by firefighters in the county. Jimmy?s father, a former chief of the Katonah Fire Department, and his mother talked about the generous nature of the fire departments.

Jimmy?s mother wrote in an e-mail to her supporters about the amazing spirit of her young son.
