Marymount College in Tarrytown may break tradition and become co-ed

Marymount College in Tarrytown is considering breaking its long standing tradition of being an all female institution to become co-ed. The college founded by Roman Catholic nuns in 1907, became a part of Fordham University three years ago. Enrollment is at 798, down about 100 students from when it joined with Fordham. Trustees are meeting Thursday on the issue.

A college spokesperson says there is a task force investigating the college's future.
