Traffic stop by Westchester police leads to bust of two suspects for kidnapping

A routine traffic stop by Westchester County police Tuesday led to the arrests of two men accused of abducting a man in New York City.

Police pulled over a car for having illegally tinted windows. Police said a bank card in the car was discovered to have been reported stolen a few hours earlier in New York City. Westchester detectives discovered that a New York City man was kidnapped at gunpoint and driven to banks in New York and Westchester, where he was forced to withdraw money.

The two suspects, both from White Plains, were turned over to New York City authorities Wednesday to face kidnapping and robbery charges.
