Man arrested in connection with 14-year-old Elmsford murder

Elmsford police, along with the U.S. Marshal's office, have made an arrest in a murder case that went unsolved for 14 years. Calvin Tyrell is accused of shooting his best friend at a party in Elmsford and wounding another man. Tyrell, who was from the Bronx, eluded police for more than a decade. Two weeks ago he was arrested at his girlfriend?s house in Florida for violating parole in a different case. Tyrell was just extradited back to Westchester and is currently being held in the county jail. He is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday.
