Wild weather causes flooding, power outages in Westchester, Hudson Valley

Strong winds and heavy rain caused problems for residents in Westchester and Hudson Valley Saturday.

Nearly 1,000 customers were without power in Westchester. In Rockland County, the storm?s peak on Friday night left 3,500 customers in the dark. By Saturday, 570 homes were still without power.

Flooding was reported on many roads along with downed trees. In Hartsdale, a tree branch fell on power lines outside a home. The power lines were attached to a transformer on the home, which sparked a small fire. No one was hurt in the incident.
