Messages of hate left on lawns and sidewalks in Ossining

Some residents in Ossining woke up Saturday to find messages of hate on their lawns and sidewalks.

Ossining Police say someone dropped postcard-sized fleers with swastikas on one side and a hate-filled message against the Jewish community on the other. The messages were left on some Stone Avenue, Pershing Avenue and Ward Place lawns. Neighbors say the fliers are in color and are laminated.

Police are looking into the possible connection between the Jewish holidays celebrated in the last few days and the appearance of the cards.
