Man charged in hostage murder in Yonkers may have killed before

Police say the man who held his ex-girlfriend hostage in Yonkers for two hours Friday before fatally shooting her may have killed before.

Authorities say Frank Rizzo, 54, is also the prime suspect in the disappearance of his wife Isabelle, back in the early 1990s. Her car turned up in the Bronx and she was never heard from again. Rizzo has never been charged in that case, but law enforcement sources confirm he was the focus of the investigation and police are looking at that case again.

Rizzo has been charged with second-degree murder in connection to the shooting Friday of 49-year-old Carmella LaPuma. He is due back in court on October 11.
