Seven-year-old girl crashes car into Yonkers parking garage

Yonkers police are investigating why a 7-year-old girl was behind the wheel of a car Tuesday when it crashed into a parking garage wall.

According to police, the girl?s mother was in the passenger seat while her daughter was driving. The girl drove the car almost 100 feet before slamming into the wall of the Cromwell Towers parking garage. Both were taken to the hospital where the girl is being treated for a broken leg while her mother suffered minor head injuries.

Police say the mother may have allowed her daughter to drive the car. They are considering whether to file any charges.
