Preschooler safe after school bus goes up in flames in Pleasantville

A preschooler was rushed to safety Monday after his school bus went up in flames in Pleasantville.

Firefighters arrived on Round Hill Drive to find the bus engulfed in flames but the child, an aide and the driver were able to get out safely. The fire was reported a little after 8 a.m. as the bus from Astra Transportation, of Yonkers, was heading to the boy?s school.

The cause of the fire has not been determined but is being investigated by the State Department of Transportation.
