Yonkers teachers plan another rally in ongoing fight for new contracts

Frustrated teachers in Yonkers are once again planning a labor rally in an ongoing effort to receive new contracts.

This time the teachers hope to receive extra union support. They are asking all members of organized labor unions to come out and support them. Teachers have been working without a contract for three years. The city offered teachers a 3-year deal, but with no raises for the first two years.

The rally is scheduled for 4p.m. Wednesday at the Chicken Island parking lot.
