Walkathon held in memory of slain White Plains college student

A walkathon was held in Elmsford Sunday in memory of a college student from White Plains.

More than 500 people came out to be apart of a walkathon in honor of 21-year-old Lindsey Bonistall. The walkathon also raised money for a foundation in her name, called ? PEACE OUT side Campus.? Police say James Cooke raped and murdered the University of Delaware student at her off-campus apartment in May.

At the finish line walkers and runners were greeted by the Bonistall family thanking them for being a part of keeping Lindsey?s memory alive. The Bonistall?s say they want to prevent other families from going through the tragedy they suffered.
