Nationwide manhunt for suspected cop killer ends in White Plains

The nationwide manhunt for a suspected cop killer ended in White Plains Wednesday.

White Plains police, along with FBI officials and U.S. marshals, were able to track down and arrest Thomas Porter, who was wanted for killing a police officer in Virginia Friday. Porter was apparently hiding out on Dekalb Avenue.

Local police officials say Porter was involved in a street brawl last year and was in their computer systems. They say the FBI was able to use that information to track Porter down. Porter is now in federal custody.
