Westchester County exec candidates campaigning hard for votes

Both candidates for Westchester County executive say they?re confident they?ll win the election next week, and both continue to hit the campaign trail.

County Executive Any Spano escorted the media around Wednesday while describing his wi-fi law proposal. The proposal would require wi-fi locations to tell consumers if they have a secure network or not. Spano?s challenger, Republican Rob Astorino says Spano?s proposal proves how out of touch he is with the real issues in the campaign.

Spano defended the attention he focused on the wi-fi issue, but hedged when asked if this shows how comfortable he is about winning another term. Astorino is sure his focus on gas prices and property taxes has given him the support needed to defeat Spano.
