Some WC seniors say Medicare drug plan is prescription for confusion

Starting Tuesday, Westchester seniors who are on Medicare will have to choose a prescription drug plan and many people are scrambling to find the right fit. An informational meeting was held in Eastchester Monday to help seniors understand Medicare?s new prescription drug coverage. While it helped some people, others say they were left with a prescription for confusion. Seniors on Medicaid must choose a plan by December 31 of this year to be eligible for drug coverage in 2006. Those who are already on Medicare and want to enroll in a program have until May 15, 2006 to make a decision. Related link Senior Programs and Services
