Bayer Healthcare in Tarrytown to add 100 jobs to its work force
Bayer Healthcare in Tarrytown will be adding 100 new jobs to its work force of 750.
Governor George Pataki (R-NY) made the announcement Thursday at the company?s headquarters. The governor called it an example of how all levels of government can work together. A 10-year tax break made the deal possible, keeping the pharmaceutical company in Tarrytown.
The deal came about with the help of Yonkers. Through the city's empire zone the company was able to transfer benefits to Greenburgh to keep the company in Tarrytown.
