Republican incumbent narrowly wins Yorktown supervisor race

A week and a half after Election Day, Republican incumbent Linda Cooper has been declared the winner in the race for Yorktown supervisor.

The Westchester County Board of Elections conducted a recount, certifying and counting absentee ballots. Representatives from both sides were present during the process. After if appeared that Cooper won by a mere 100 votes, Democrat Don Peter's campaign conceded the race.

Both sides wanted to ensure every ballot was counted.
