Fundraiser for Westchester cop injured in motorcycle accident

Family, friends and the county?s finest came together Sunday to show support for a Westchester police officer who was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident two months ago.

The fundraiser was held at the Thirsty Turtle restaurant on East Post Road in White Plains to support Christopher Koehlein. Koehlein served seven years with the Mount Vernon Police Department and has been with the Westchester County Police for almost a year. Koehlein lost his leg in the accident, which happened on Midland Avenue in Yonkers.

All the donations and the money raised from the raffles will help pay some of Koehlein?s medical bills.
