Bargain hunters flock to the Cross County Shopping Center

Shoppers braved the cold and got an early start on their holiday gifts Friday as they flocked to the Cross County Shopping Center in Yonkers.

Many stores opened before daybreak to accommodate the crowds on Black Friday. Electronics like the popular Xbox 360, digital cameras and flat screen TVs were snatched up. Retailers offered special early-bird sale prices to entice consumers.

Shoppers said they fought the big crowds and stood in long lines all for the great bargains.
