Man accused in Halloween murder in New Rochelle faces judge

One of the men accused in the Halloween murder of a man in New Rochelle went before a judge Friday.

Shamei Brown, 30, was arrested Thursday in Mount Vernon in connection to the fatal shooting of Raymond Harris at the Hartley Houses complex. Police are still searching for the other suspect.

Brown is the brother of Dashow Brown, who was murdered on October 10 at a Mount Vernon nightclub. Police believe the murder of Harris was in retaliation of Dashow Brown?s murder. The shootings have caused increased tensions in New Rochelle and Mount Vernon.
