Legal battle brews over Ridge Hill development plan in Yonkers

The county board is getting involved in a legal battle over the Ridge Hill development plan in Yonkers.

The Westchester Board of Legislators voted unanimously Monday to have the county attorney take action against the Yonkers City Council. The decision comes after the council voted last week to change the number of votes to approve projects rejected by the county planning board. One of those projects is the $600 million Ridge Hill development plan.

Meantime, a judge ruled a temporary restraining order that puts the council vote on hold should stay in place. However, a panel of appellate judges will hear arguments Friday to get the order overturned.
