Catholic community in Scarsdale divided over fate of Immaculate Heart pastor

Some parishioners are keeping their faith in the Catholic priest at the center of a school controversy in Scarsdale. The principal of the Immaculate Heart of Mary School for the past 20 years was suspended last week. Many parishioners are placing the blame with the pastor of the parish, Father Robert Verrigni. On Friday, however, other parishioners came out in support of the man known as Father Bob. Now, the Catholic community is divided between those who want the pastor to leave the parish and those who want him to stay. Members of the Archdiocese of New York say Principal Billings is on leave.
