Westchester hit with first snowfall of season

Residents in Westchester awoke Sunday to the first snowfall of the season.

The snow came down into the early morning hours and then turned over to rain. About one to three inches of snow fell creating wet, slippery roads. Police throughout Westchester reported a number of accidents on the roadways.

Officials from the Department of Public Works in White Plains say 150 miles of road were plowed.
