Fast-moving storm dumps up to a foot of snow in Westchester

Another snowstorm dumped up to a foot of snow across Westchester Friday.

The snow began in the early hours of the morning and driving quickly became dangerous. The Yorktown Highway Department had crews out before dawn making sure the town's roads were passable for the morning commute. The wintry weather also created poor visibility.

The afternoon sun melted away the snow left on the roads. However, with temperatures expected to drop, road surfaces could become icy.
