Nationwide manhunt for kidnapping suspect ends in White Plains

A nationwide manhunt for a kidnapping suspect came to an end in White Plains.

According to authorities, 25-year-old Juan Zumba, of Ohio, left the state Tuesday with the 14-year-old daughter of his girlfriend. A nationwide amber alert was issued for the teenager. The FBI and White Plains police arrested Zumba at the Central Motel on Central Avenue Thursday night.

Police say the teenager was found safe and Zumba is facing federal kidnapping charges.
