Wintry mix causes minor flooding for Westchester drivers

A wintry mix caused minor flooding for some Westchester drivers Friday morning.

The heavy rain mixed with melting snow created flooding on major roads including the Bronx River Parkway and the Saw Mill River Parkway. While some early-morning commuters had to worry about freezing conditions, the weather warmed up for residents leaving later.

All drivers are urged to slow down when driving in slick, wet conditions. Residents should also allow themselves extra time to get to their destinations.
