Westchester County Airport puts new security screening plan in place

Travelers to Westchester County Airport can now expect to see some changes in security screening.

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is now allowing some previously banned items on planes. Passengers can take small scissors and some tools that do not exceed 7 inches in length. Screening of passengers will have the factor of unpredictability.

The TSA says since pilots are now armed, cockpit doors are reinforced and federal air marshals are onboard planes, the threat from small sharp objects is no longer great.Related link Transportation Security Administration
