Holiday hold-up at Greenburgh bank has police looking for clues

Police are searching for an armed gunman that held up a Greenburgh bank Friday morning.

Police say the robber entered the Apple Banking Center on Central Avenue just before noon and handed a teller a note demanding money. The suspect took off in a white minivan with cash. There were 10 people inside the bank at the time of the robbery. No one was hurt in the incident.

Greenburgh detectives are teaming up with police from Yonkers to determine if the robber was also responsible for two bank hold-ups in the city in the past month. Police say those robberies also involved a lone gunman in a hat handing the teller a note.
