Westchester residents hit the malls for second round of holiday shopping

Thousands of Westchester shoppers hit the malls Monday for a second round of holiday shopping.

The day after Christmas and the start of Hanukkah has become a busy shopping day. Shoppers were out in full force returning gifts, cashing in their gift cards and hunting for bargains. Overall, it?s estimated Americans spent $19 billion on gift cards this year.

The International Council of Shoppers says retailers should only expect to see a 3 to 3.5 percent increase in November and December sales.
