County Waste Management driver recovering after apparently losing control of truck on Route 9 in Peekskill

A County Waste Management driver was transported to the hospital this morning after apparently losing control of his truck in Peekskill.

Authorities say the truck jackknifed, flipped and went into a ditch around 10 a.m. in the northbound lane of Route 9 near Welcher Avenue.

It is not clear what caused the driver to lose control of the truck.

The driver suffered cuts and scrapes as a result of the accident. No one else was injured in the crash.
