New Westchester DA shakes up office

New Westchester District Attorney Janet DiFiore didn?t waste any time getting settled into her new office as she chose her senior management team Wednesday.

DiFiore?s staff will include several veteran prosecutors. She says she is excited to get started and one of her top priorities is protecting children. DiFiore says wants to create a child fatality review team that would investigate the most severe abuse cases. DiFiore says she has great respect for her predecessor Jeanine Pirro. She say she is similar to Pirro in substance but not in style.

DiFiore says she will run the office with a very open-door, hands-on approach. In the end, she says she wants to be remembered as a district attorney who was fair, honest and compassionate.
