New Castle car accident hospitalizes four; one person seriously injured

? New Castle police are investigating the cause of a car accident on Route 100 that left four people in the hospital, one of them seriously injured.

Police believe a jeep hit a station wagon Wednesday night, leaving one vehicle with serious damage to the driver?s side and the other with front-end damage. The Millwood Fire Department responded to the scene along with emergency workers from surrounding areas. Firefighters extracted two people from the mangled cars, while two others were able to get out on their own.

New Castle police say the area is dark, does not have any traffic lights and frequently has speeders.
