Police nab two teens in Mount Vernon home invasion
Police arrested two teenagers in connection with a violent home invasion in Mount Vernon.
Stephen Cohen says he was staying at a friend?s house Wednesday on South 6th Avenue when a group of teenagers broke into the apartment. Cohen says the teens attacked him with a broomstick and wooden planks, demanding money before fleeing. Police are classifying the incident as a burglary, since the victim knew two of the suspects by name.
The burglary came just hours after a Mount Vernon man was abducted from his girlfriend?s home and murdered. Police found Norman Crawford?s body in his Range Rover in the Bronx. Officials say the two incidents are not related.
