Yorktown’s pre-salted roadways helpful for drivers

Slick roads and icy conditions were blamed from numerous crashes across the Hudson Valley Friday morning.

In Yorktown, Highway Superintendent says his crews anticipated the snowfall and pre-salted their roadways Thursday night.

By mid-morning, there were few complaints about the Taconic Parkway, Route 202 and Route 132.

Crews say they will keep an eye on the temperatures and the conditions to make sure the streets stay drivable throughout the weekend.
