Knicks take part in holiday shopping spree

The New York Knicks were in White Plains on Monday taking part in an annual shopping spree with the Garden of Dreams Foundation.

More than a dozen families filled up their carts at Target. Each family member was given $500 to spend.

Some participants stocked up on food while others picked up toys for the holidays.

Organizers say the leftover money that the family did not spend was given to them to keep.

Parents say that the event is about more than just putting gifts under the tree. They also get to enjoy the experience of meeting the Garden of Dreams staff and the Knicks team.
