Special education students get into holiday spirit
Dozens of special education students got into the holiday spirit in Hastings.
Santa and Mrs. Claus stopped off at Saint Matthews School to deliver gifts and take pictures with the students.
Under the Santa suit was Stephen Maday, director of education for Ferncliff Manor. Laurie Fernandez, the director of nursing, was dressed as Mrs. Claus.
"Often times, they don't have the patience to wait at the mall, and yet it would not be good if they didn't get a picture with Santa," said Maday.
The Ferncliff Manor students relocated to Saint Matthews at the beginning of the school year.
