Rabbi gets special invite to White House for Hanukkah

A rabbi in charge of a Jewish center in Harrison will be spending one day during Hanukkah as a guest of the White House.
Rabbi Eytan Hammerman, who is in charge of the Jewish Community Center, couldn't believe when he opened his email and saw an invitation to the White House for a Hanukkah reception. Rabbi Hammerman says he kept checking to make sure the email was real.
This is Rabbi Hammerman's second invite this year to Washington, D.C. Over the summer he was asked to give the opening prayer at the House of Representatives.
Rabbi Hammerman is honored to be keeping the Jewish faith and tradition growing for his students at the community center.
