HBO miniseries begins filming in Elmsford

The HBO miniseries "Show Me a Hero" has begun filming in Elmsford.

The six-hour series documents the 1980s housing desegregation case in Yonkers.

Crews set up Wednesday at Marinelli's Village Pharmacy on East Main Street. The owners say they believe their shop had the look that the network wanted.

Stars involved in the project include Winona Ryder and Jim Belushi. Actress Catherine Keener was scheduled to be on set Wednesday evening.
