Coyote spotted in Yonkers neighborhood

Some Yonkers homeowners are worried about their safety after a coyote was spotted in their neighborhood.

A resident on Thurton Place says he saw the animal at around midnight and earlier Tuesday afternoon when he took his dog out. Other neighbors say they haven't spotted it yet, but are ready to take precautions.

Mamaroneck police shot a coyote earlier this week that was acting aggressively in that village. An animal control officer was also sent to the area near Stanley Avenue.
