Arson eyed in fire at vacant Yonkers home

Arson investigators sifted through debris Tuesday, hours after a fire engulfed an abandoned home.
The fire broke out around 12:40 a.m. at 56 Cresthill Road. An elderly couple owns the home, which has been vacant for some time. A neighbor saw the flames.
"There seemed to be garbage," said neighbor Mary Neary. "There seemed to be stuff between their house and my house."
Prior to the fire, firefighters responded to a separate call about leaves on fire. Authorities are investigating whether the incidents are connected.
