No motive or suspect 1 week after murder

One week after the murder of an elderly citizen, police have said little about a motive or suspect.

Linda Falkoff was stabbed to death last week inside her Grand View home.

Falcoff was a widow and retired attorney who once worked for the United Nations, neighbors said.

With no resolution to the case, the community has grown increasingly uneasy.

"Very unusual for something like this to happen here," said Joe Lifrieri, who has owned the dry cleaners in town for 51 years. "They don't know if it's someone here or a stranger."

Westchester police have asked anyone with information on the case to contact them.
