First-graders at the Pulaski School in Yonkers get private weather lesson from News 12 Meteorologist Brysen van Eck

Some lucky first-graders in Yonkers got a private weather lesson today.

News 12 Meteorologist Brysen van Eck taught 40 kids at the Pulaski School about tornadoes, thunderstorms and rain clouds.

Students had the opportunity to see how the weather is forecasted for the day and even how to detect a storm.

The visit was all a part of Weather Week, where the students created class projects about Mother Nature.
